6 Questions for our Executive Producer
Meet Andrew Johnston
1) Where can we find you when you are not at the Frost studio?
I can be found somewhere outdoors either skiing, playing games in the park, enjoying a show at Red Rocks, testing out all the Denver breweries or trying out new restaurants with my lovely lady.
2) What was the best gift you received as a kid?
I’d have to say that there are two gifts that stand out. The first is a fishing pole and the other is my original Nintendo. The fishing pole represents my appreciation for the outdoors and the bond with my dad to get out and be adventurous. The Nintendo was special because it was one of the first gaming consoles available and it brought out my competitive side at a very young age.
3) When was the last time you laughed really hard?
The last time I laughed really hard was over this past July 4th holiday weekend. Every year turns into a friendship reunion and the stories are endless.
4) What is the best meal you have ever had?
One of the best meals that stands out was when I first got back from 3 months in Africa. I can’t remember what I had but it wasn’t goat meat!
5) What is your most embarrassing fashion mistake?
My most embarrassing fashion mistake was probably having two diamond stud earrings in one ear in high school. Looked really cool at the time but the pictures prove otherwise.
6) Why did you decide to become a production & post production Executive Producer?
I decided to become an EP and initially work in the production industry because I was always intrigued by the combination of business and creative. The mix of strategy, logistics, business development and creative freedom really provides a new adventure on a day to day basis. No day is ever the same and that keeps me fired up when I hear that alarm go off every morning.
