6 Questions for our Designer
Meet Sean Kasa
-Where can we find you when you are not at the Frost studio?
I love to explore. Right now that’s taking advantage of walking around Denver and discovering new and exciting places around town. I also can be found hiking, snowboarding, camping and generally being outside.
-What was the best gift you received as a kid?
The best gift I received as a kid, was probably the one that gave my parents the most stress as well. For Christmas, my parents got my brother and I a large trampoline and the countless hours pretending to be Power Rangers or Ninja Turtles with my brother, cousins and friends left some pretty lasting memories of my childhood.
-When was the last time you laughed really hard?
The last time I really laughed, I’d have to say was Thanksgiving when my extended family got together. Whenever we all see each other again its like no time has passed since the last time.
-What is the best meal you have ever had?
To be honest, I would have to say it was the meal that surprised me the most, Korean BBQ. The whole experience was something I wasn’t prepared for and now is one of my favorite places to go with friends.
-What is your most embarrassing fashion mistake?
In high school I had a pretty mean bowl-cut hairstyle. One that, as an angsty teenager, I let grow to shoulder length. It has since been remembered as the “Vase” cut, by family and friends who knew me during the time.
-Why did you decide to become a motion designer?
It actually didn’t feel like a decision I made at all. I went to school for print and web based design and took one semester of Motion Graphics. After graduating I was falling out of love with web design and was learning animation on the side as a hobby. Over time, My two interests gradually started to align and (with a much needed push from friends,) I embraced it fully.
I love communicating an idea visually, so taking the skills I had and applying them to time-based mediums was a natural evolution for me and I am happier for it.
